About Thomas Tran

Thomas Tran has been a physiotherapist working in sports medicine for over eleven years. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario physiotherapy program in 1999, he returned to his hometown of Kanata, Ontario (a suburb of Ottawa). This is when he began coaching volleyball. He also began giving back by volunteering at community events ranging from little league soccer to men’s club rugby. In 2001, he moved to Vancouver to tackle new challenges and immerse himself in the vibrant active lifestyle of the West Coast. He was fortunate enough to be able to work with the University of British Columbia men’s volleyball team as both an assistant coach and physiotherapist for six years. All the while, he began to work at the renowned Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre where he has been for the past eight years. From these experiences, he has developed a specialty in creating sound movement principles for all levels of athletes. He is passionate about giving others the tools to prevent and recovery from injuries both acute and chronic. He delivers practical and feasible strategies to maximizing ones physical tools.
