About Tess Zevenbergen

Tess Zevenbergen is a writer and recreational runner, After giving birth to her son in 2002, she joined the Running Room's half marathon training program and ran her first half marathon in 2004. After completing countless half marathons, she finished her first marathon in Portland, Oregon in 2006. She is also a novice triathlete and duathlete having completed her second sprint triathlon in 2011. Running and racing have taught her to set goals and live a greater, healthier, active lifestyle as well as how to properly fuel the body for maximum performance. She believes that finding a recreational sport you love and setting goals is the key to life-long fitness. She currently shares her insights on running, health and fitness as a blogger for The Province. Her work has also been published in the Richmond Review, Livestrong.com, Huffington Post and now Fitnessgoop.com.
