		<description>Hi Karen,

Receiving a false negative for Celiac Disease is more common than you may think due to a number of different factors. Unfortunately there are still flaws in the testing methods and none are considered to be 100% accurate. Requesting the blood test from your doctor is the first step. If it comes back negative and you are still experiencing symptoms of CD then your doctor might recommend an intestinal biopsy or gene testing to rule it out as a possible cause of your symptoms.

Alternatively, some people have non-celiac gluten sensitivity which can produce much of the same symptoms without the intestinal damage and therefore won&#039;t show up through regular celiac screening. There is a saliva and/or stool test available through some naturopathic doctors which is helpful in determining if you have a gluten sensitivity.

While testing can assist you in labeling the cause of your symptoms, at the end of the day I truly believe that &quot;if it makes you sick, don&#039;t eat it&quot; regardless of what the test results say! Really listen to your body, it will often provide you with the answers!

All the best on your gluten-free adventures,

<description>Karen, your test may have been negative but you can have false negatives or false postives. I had 2 false negatives before I was confirmed with celiac. You can also have gluten intolerance, which is more like an allergy.
cheers
