How does Madonna Stay in Perfect Shape?

We all know that Madonna works hard on her body to get it looking so perfect, but how she does it is what we all want to know. Starting with yoga, Madonna was introduced to the practice by Sting, who asked her to join him during a session with a yoga guru who taught Ashtanga yoga. This type of yoga involves synchronizing breathing with progressive and continuous series of postures-a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, flexibility, stamina, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

To make sure her dance crew is in as perfect shape also, Madonna has trainers work with them copying her own fitness regimen, which she does outside of her yoga practice if you can believe it!

1. Resistance Bands – use instead of weights since they are great for traveling. Do five sets of 10-15 reps.

2. Push-ups – 250 pushups a day

3. Chest Press – 5 sets of 5-10

4. Jump Rope – 1 minute on, 1 minute off to elevate heart rate and burn calories.

5. Knee-Highs- Jog in place, lifting your knees as high as possible. Do 10 minute sets, one minute on, one minute off.

As far as what she puts in her body, Madonna follows a strict Macrobiotic diet. This is a low-fat, high fiber diet that is a predominantly vegetarian diet, emphasizing whole grains and vegetables.

Well, there you have it. Now we know Madonna wasn’t just born with that perfect physique. She is dedicated in keeping her body fit and healthy and has worked hard to look as great as she does.
